Meets pressing community needs by mobilizing caring New Yorkers in volunteer service.

Friends Committee

Friends Committee Women Talking

The Friends Committee, a subcommittee of the RLC, is a group of young professionals who are passionate about volunteering their time to raise money and awareness for the New York Cares mission. The Friends plan two rockin’ happy hours, lead calendar year volunteer projects, and connect with other community-driven 20-something year olds to help the 400,000 disadvantaged New Yorkers New York Cares serves. In exchange, they are given the unique opportunity to network with influential corporate philanthropists and community leaders and will be given opportunities to grow their leadership skills.
