2017 Presidential Service Award Challenge

Get a letter from the President this year

Volunteering is a great way to contribute to our communities.  And there are some New Yorkers who have made volunteering a part of their daily routines.  We can’t thank them enough, but one way is with a little help from the President.  We’re partnering with the Corporation for National and Community Service as a certifying organization to present the President’s Volunteer Service Award to New York Cares volunteers.  Through this program outstanding volunteers will receive a letter from the president, a certificate, and a pin.

So what are you waiting for? Start tracking your progress today by signing up for the Presidential Service Award Challenge below. Awards are based on the number of hours completed between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017.

  • Bronze level: 100-249 hours
  • Silver level: 250- 499 hours
  • Gold level: 500 or more hours

Award recipients will receive:

  • The official President’s Volunteer Service Award pin
  • A personalized certificate of achievement
  • A congratulatory letter from the President of the United States

More information about the award can be found on the Presidential Service Award website.
