With public services that are already strapped for resources facing even more budget cuts this year, the work that volunteers will do on Hands On New York Day is crucial to keeping our city’s public spaces clean and green.

This incredible day of service is also a critical fundraiser that enables New York Cares to put volunteers to work all year long at struggling city agencies, community centers, and public schools.

Take the $150 Challenge and help us reach our goal. If all Hands On New York Day volunteers raise $150 in honor of their service, New York Cares could provide $4.5 million in service to the community. Set your goal even higher and join the Team Green fundraising club.

Last night’s Cirque de Soirée was a smashing success – more than 300 guests attended, raising about $70,000 for our year-round volunteer programs.

The crowd was terrific, and everyone enjoyed the stunning performances, amazing mystery raffle, delicious fare, and charming gifts from Elemis and Heartbreaker Cookies. We were proud to honor the philanthropic efforts of our three honorees – Jenna Arnold, Kevin Liles, and Glen Weiss.

Last night’s annual Winter Benefit was a resounding success, thanks to hundreds of individuals and companies who made generous donations in support of New York Cares.  The event is our biggest annual fundraiser, and this year was no different – we raised over $1 million to support our work in the community!

Wines from Spain’s Great Match: Wine and Tapas tasting yesterday was a big success. Tickets were sold out, and 500 lucky people got to sample wines from Spain’s 74 wine-producing regions and superb tapas prepared by eight renowned New York restaurants.

The event raised over $20,000 for New York Cares. Thanks to Wines from Spain for partnering with us once again, and thanks to everyone who attended the event.

Thanks to everyone who made last night’s Art of Caring Happy Hour a resounding success. By the end of the night after all the raffle prizes were given away, the music died down, and the revelers dispersed, the event raised an astounding $16,000. This money will enable more volunteers to teach children how to read, help at-risk youth get into college, feed the homeless, and much more.
