The creative ideas presented to us for fundraising events continue to amaze me. It’s no surprise that a company with “create” in their name is launching a very cool, very creative way for people to help with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
RE/CREATE, a not-for profit platform started by CREATETHE GROUP will be hosting an auction with over 50 personal items donated by well-known names including Kanye West, Kate Moss, and Marc Jacobs, to name just a few. You not only get a chance to own some one-of-a-kind items from these celebrities, but you also get a glimpse into their personal music style. In addition to donating items to the auction, celebrities were asked to create a playlist with some of their favorite songs. You can check out the playlists and place a bid here: RE/CREATE New York.
The event has garnered a lot press, including a recent article in the New York Times.
The website launches tonight and the auction will run from January 11th through February 3rd. 100% of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to our Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Place a bid today!
