Crain's Names New York Cares as a Best Place to Work
We hope you already agree that New York Cares is the city’s best place to volunteer, but now Crain’s New York has named New York Cares one of the best places to work.
Crain’s writes:
New York Cares managers make sure employees have the training, resources and infrastructure they need. The $6.1 million organization, which mobilizes volunteers for charitable groups, is one of the few nonprofits on the Princeton Review list of workplaces with the best entry-level jobs. Helping staff members balance work and family is also important to New York Cares, which makes summer Fridays short workdays. “People don’t feel like cogs,” says Technology Director Joshua Ehrlich. The attention to employees pays off: New York Cares’ 57 staff members last year mobilized 43,000 volunteers.
Thanks to Crain’s for this honor!
