Early Morning Inspiration At The Breakfast Of Champions
Yesterday, guests braved the early morning rain to attend our annual Breakfast of Community Champions at the New York Athletic Club. This year, the focus was our Youth Service Clubs. Over coffee, fruit, and bagels, attendees heard from Sharnae, a former Youth Service volunteer who spoke of her involvement with the club.
Sharnae told the crowd how she learned that helping others was the best way to help herself. Starting out as a young student who often skipped classes, she transformed into a caring individual who never missed a volunteer project. Her grades improved, and she decided to dedicate her life to service. The audience applauded when they learned that Sharnae is enrolled at Spellman College, and attributes her time in Youth Service Clubs to her success.
Our Youth Service Clubs program wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our donors. After hearing Sharnae’s amazing transformation, attendees were given the opportunity to donate so we can continue to provide these programs to our city’s youth.
We want to thank everyone who attended the Breakfast of Community Champions yesterday and donated to support our programs. If you would like to make a donation, click here.
