New York Cares Night at Citi Field

July 30th, 2009

Last night’s Mets game was rained out, but not before a pre-game ceremony honoring New York Cares and United We Serve.

Citi generously provided 100 free tickets for our volunteers.  Six of those volunteers — Elaine Gehnick, David Halloran, Jeff Margolies, Patrick McGuire, Metsha Renois, and Arvind Singh — were honored for their service. They were introduced to the crowd and had the chance to greet Mr. Met himself.

It was a great evening celebrating New York Cares! See what our Executive Director Gary Bagley and Citi’s Michael Schlein (a New York Cares Board member) said about the event.
